Cameras and Cocktails
When I got my first dslr I remember looking at it and wondering, “What are all of these buttons for?" I was so confused. However, I quickly became determined to figure it all out. So, congrats to you for taking that first step in learning how to use your camera, just like I did. This is going to be fun!
This workshop covers the exact techniques I use to photograph my own family memories. Over the past 4 years, I’ve been a student, dedicating hundreds of hours to this craft, and my own walls are covered in photos that are like stepping into a memory. I want that feeling for you and other moms.
The best part about this: Accountability. If you’re anything like me, it’s easy to buy an ebook or course where the content is fed to you and left up to you to take action.
This is different!
While it’s not super-time consuming (the workshop is only a couple of hours + there is some homework so you can implement the teachings), you will be held accountable to practice through our Facebook group. I’ll be on you if you don’t! HAHA
I guarantee you will see vast improvement with your photos! Here is some of what the program includes:
» Easy to implement today topics such as light, composition, seeing photo opportunities, and discovering the things you really want to capture - all things you can do without camera knowledge to improve your photos fast (these are things you can do with your phone too!)
» Basic Gear - what’s out there, what’s affordable
» Why shoot in manual mode? Brief explanation of the exposure triangle: Shutter, Aperture, ISO
» Overcoming, ‘But my kid won’t let me take their photo!’ Taking candid photos to evoke memories and tell a story.
» Approx 30 minutes of shooting practice and Q & A
» 10-15 ladies max to allow for ample time for each individual. This class is paired best with your bestie & a good bottle of vino.
» Fun! We’ll laugh, you’ll learn, and most importantly, you’ll walk away with a better understanding in how to photograph those everyday memories of your family.
We will also have a private Facebook Group for after the workshop to communicate and troubleshoot your work. I can hop in and critique your work and I’m even including a few exercises so you know exactly what to do. It’s important to me that you do not only consume the content, but you actually improve your photography (and get some great photos of the kids!)
I hope to see you at the next workshop!
